Christmas is on the way!

You can't beat Edinburgh for a bit of pre-Christmas build up. Despite the thoroughly miserable weather this week, there's no avoiding the excitement generated by those annual signals that announce festivities are on their way...Chrsitmas songs are playing in the shops! The ferris wheel at the Walter Scott Monument has been built! Princes Street Gardens has some weird and wonderful flat-scaffolding-type-construction that can only be the start of the ice rink!

Of course we're fully into the sun-less days, which is a bit of a pain for me as there are street signs to be found and photographed. That'll need to be a weekend job then. Thankfully at my day job I have a window seat so I do actually get some Vitamin D, unlike less fortunate friends forever subjected to arriving and leaving their offices in darkness. OK, perhaps not forever...but for the winter months at least.

The lack of sun is perhaps a good thing though - great time of year for night-time collages...where to start...any ideas? If so, leave a comment! (below)

Hope you're enjoying the site so far and thank you to all those who've left or sent me such lovely messages - they've all put a smile on my face :)

The leaves haven't entirely fallen just yet...no harm in being prepared though it would seem!
